At EdShifu, we believe education recruitment should be about more than just filling a seat — it’s about finding the right mentor for the right classroom.
Founded with a vision to bring reliability, transparency, and genuine quality back to the supply market, EdShifu is a education agency supporting schools across London.
We specialise in connecting dedicated Teaching Assistants, HLTAs, and SEN specialists with schools that need dependable, classroom-ready staff.
We don’t aim to be the biggest agency — we aim to be the most trusted. Our name, derived from the word for “Master” or “Teacher,” reflects our commitment to mastery in our craft.
Our focus: providing schools with trustworthy, fully vetted teaching assistants while building a long-term, education-first supply service.
Founder & Director
Why EdShifu Exists
EdShifu was born from a simple observation: schools deserve better than “seat-fillers.”
During my time working on the front lines as a Teaching Assistant in SEN departments and as a Maths tutor for students from Year 3 to Year 10, I saw firsthand the difference the right support staff can make — and the damage caused when the wrong ones are placed.
Too often, temporary staff were assigned without the empathy, relationship-building skills, or genuine commitment required to support pupils effectively.
I founded EdShifu to bridge that gap. My goal was to create the agency I wished I could have worked with — one that treats education not as a transaction, but as a responsibility.
I believe every child is a pure soul deserving of safety, respect, and a mentor who truly cares.
My approach brings together two worlds: the heart of an educator and the discipline of a finance professional.
With a background in International Business and advanced qualifications in Accounting & Finance (ICAP / ACCA), I understand that reliability is about more than turning up — it requires compliance, transparency, and precision.
At EdShifu, we don’t just check boxes — we verify character. We understand classrooms because we’ve been there, and we uphold professional standards because we live by them.
